Police intercept truck despite drivers efforts

A truck full of logs is pretty hard to slip by the police, so a driver pulled his vehicle into a sawmill instead of passing through a police control point, said the Fuerza Pública.

The events took place in Upala where the Policía de Fronteras were conducting a check on vehicles.

Although the driver produced papers showing the wood came from a plantation, police doubted this and called in prosecutors who confiscated the truck and logs.

Moving logs is heavily controlled in Costa Rica. Each log is supposed to have a tag, and the driver needs to have paperwork.
