Fishing boat gets help from Guardacostas

The Servicio Nacional de Guardacostas said that it assisted the crew of a fishing boat that was taking on water after hitting rocks some three miles from Quepos on the Pacific coast early Thursday.

The boat, the “Manudo,” and its three-person crew reached port safely about 5:30 a.m. after the coast guard provided a pump to keep the water at bay.
