Wrecked car parts being recycled

The state insurance company has gone into the auto parts business.

The Instituto Nacional de Seguros reports that since August a subsidiary,  INSurance Servicios, is offering discounted auto parts. The items are being offered at a cost of at least 30 percent below marker, the insurance firm said.

The reason is that the auto parts come from vehicles that have been wrecked and turned over to the insurance giant. So far the INSurance Servicios has about 2,000 parts available, the insurance company known as INS said.

The parts agency is located in Zapote near the bull ring on the festival grounds.

INS said that sales are open to anyone, not just customers of the insurance firm.
