Opening of insurance market creates new careers

The education ministry and the industry regulator will be announcing an agreement Wednesday for 10 technical and professional schools to offer specialized training insurance filed.

The opening of the insurance market to private firms has created a need for persons training in insurance and for others trained in estimating damage for claims.

The Ministerio de Educación Pública and the  Superintendencia General de Seguros have been working to fill that gap.

Until now, the bulk of the training has been in-house with the state-owned Instituto Nacional de Seguros.
