Judicial agency confirms shooting of robber in Aserrí

The Judicial Investigating Organization has confirmed the shooting death of a young man in Aserrí. But it has declined to identify the man who shot him as a judicial agent.

In a release Thursday, the judicial agency confirmed that the 18 year old was one of two men on a motorcycle who tried to rob a pedestrian. The pedestrian was a homicide detective, and he responded with his own weapon.

The agency did say that two pistols were at the scene, presumably one carried by the agent and one dropped by the dead man.
