Election officials take to malls to provide voting information

The election tribunal is going to the people.

The agency has set up booths at both Mall Paseo de las Flores and Multicentro de Desamparados to distribute election information and to explain the election process.

The Tribunal Supremo de Elecciones said the booth will be in operation through Sunday. The election is less than two weeks away on Feb. 2.

Costa Ricans also will be able to find out their voting location and other details at the booth, the Tribunal said.

In addition, the Tribunal has set up a call center at 1020 to answer questions by citizens. The system also accepts text messages. And those with questions also can go to the Tribunal Web site where there is a lot of information about the location of polling places.
