Escazú home invaders get cash, valuable bracelet and a pistol

Four masked bandits broke into a home in San Rafael de Escazú Sunday night and made off with a bracelet, cash and a firearm.

The Judicial Investigating Organization said that the four intruders appeared to have entered through a door to a parking area about 7:30 p.m.. Once inside, they forced a homeowner to open a safe and took 3,000 euros and 800 dollars as well as the 9-mm. firearm and a bracelet valued at $7,000, agents said.

The victims remained in the home for awhile until they thought the intruders had left before they called police. The bandits wore ski masks, the judicial agency said.
