San Jose’s museums and galleries are open again Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for another edition of Art City Tour. This is the second edition for this year, and the various culture locations are competing for visitors.
The free event includes admission to the Museo de Arte y Diseño Contemporáneo, the Museo Dr. Rafael Ángel Calderón Guardia, the Museo de Arte Costarricense, the Museo Nacional and various private galleries. The museums all have temporary expositions that have been advertised, such as the one featuring Russian engravings at the Museo de Arte Costarricense in Parque la Sabana.
The main stipulation is that visitors use the buses that are provided to go from one location to the other to avoid traffic and parking problems. An exception to this rule is made for those who travel on bicycles.
The organizers ask that those who will be participating register at a Web site so that the correct number of vehicles can be supplied.
