Pedestrians targeted by robbers

Robbers shot a pedestrian five times in Lourdes in San Pedro de Montes de Oca Saturday night, said judicial investigators. The man was walking with a friend when a car pulled up and a man with a gun stepped out. Agents said that the victim, identified by the last name of Fallas, struggled with the gunman.

A similar incident also Saturday night in Santa Ana led to the wounding of a 61-year-old man identified by the last name of Morales. A car pulled up and a man with a gun got out.  Instead of giving up his possessions, Morales struggled with the man, agents said. He suffered a bullet wound to the leg and an injury to the head where he was hit.
