Coronado agricultural producers plan a three-day expo this month

Coronado will be holding what amounts to a county fair again this year June 27 to 28.

The event is organized by the Centro Agrícola Cantonal de Coronado that says some 200 agricultural producers of all types will be displaying their efforts. These include dairy farmers, truck crop producers, those involved in organic agriculture and also producers of goats and sheep.

Coronado is well known as an agricultural center.

The event will be in the community fairgrounds and is free, although parking is not. This is the 28th edition.

Many of the activities will be technical and directed at producers or various types. Experts from the Universidad Nacional will be discussing the health of cows as well as other technical aspects of daily farming.

For the public there is a 3.5 kilometer parade of pets.

Organizers made clear that the event is also designed for the small producer or the person who wants to be a small producer or hobby farmer.
