Paso Ancho work scheduled to begin

Work is scheduled to start next week on the Paso Ancho traffic circle on the Circunvalación. Eventually a bridge will replace the circle which now slows traffic.

The first step, according to highway officials is the destruction of some structures adjacent to the circle.

This is the circle that also is known as the Rotonda de la Guacamaya because the Guacamaya auto repair facility is on the south side.

MECO S.A, will be doing the work. Officials said they expect no problem with traffic while the demolition is taking place. The entire project is valued at $4.7 million.
