The Panamá national football team will battle the national team of Costa Rica Friday night for the Central American championship. The game is at 8 p.m. in Estadio
Cuty Monge (Olympic Village), Desamparados, San Jose.
Panamá beat Costa Rica 54-13 last September at the inaugural Central America Bowl in El Salvador.
The game is American football and not to be confused with fútbol as Costa Ricans call soccer. The American Football Federation of Costa Rica is organizing the event.
American football is gradually gaining a hold in Costa Rica, and there are at least seven teams of Costa Rican players.
