Cuba’s airline will begin a direct flight

Cubana de Aviación said it will begin a direct flight to Costa Rica Nov. 16.

The flight will be between Aeropuerto Internacional José Martí in Havana to Juan Santamaría in Alajuela.

The flight was announced by Wilhelm von Breymann, the minister of Turismo. He noted that there were 3,372 visitors from Cuba in 2013.

He also noted that four airlines have announced in September that they are increasing flights to Costa Rica, mostly for the December-March high seasons.
