JetBlue will begin passenger service between Liberia and Boston Nov. 1, tourism officials announced.
The new flight was announced with much fanfare because President Luis Guillermo Solís and Wilhelm von Breymann, minister of Turismo, met with airline officials in New York.
Unstated was if the flight is just for the high season or will continue year round. Many lines increase their flights in anticipation of refugees from the frigid north heading south to Costa Rica over the North American winter.
Von Breymann, in a release, noted that the airline also has announced flights from Orlando, Florida, and from New York.
