New RACSA chief to seek new markets

Francisco Calvo, the new general manager of Radiográfica Costarricense, S.A., met with employees Thursday and said that the state firm needs to find new markets and stabilize its finances.

Calvo was accompanied by Carlos Obregón Quesada, president of the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad, who also was optimistic that the subsidiary, known as RACSA, would continue.

Calvo said that both firms should move ahead without competing for the same customers. Also at the session was Jaime Palermo, manager of telecom business for the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad.
