The Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional has received a Latin Grammy nomination for its album “Música de Compositores Costarricenses Vol. 1.” The work is competing in the best album of classical music category, said the Ministerio de Cultura y Juventud.
There are five other entries in that category, including works by artists such as Plácido Domingo, José Serebrier and Berta Rojas, the ministry said.
Nominations in some 48 categories were announced Wednesday. The awards will be made known Nov. 20 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
