International experts have reviewed Costa Rica’s technical and professional academic programs.
The reviewers were from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, which operates the Skills beyond School survey.
The goal is to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the educational programs. The Ministerio de Educación Pública was involved as was the Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje which runs vocational training programs. Evaluators met with local educators this week to discuss findings.
Costa Rica is working to become a member of the international organization.
