Bus kills tot, 6, in Cahuita

A 6-year-old child died Wednesday morning when he was struck by a public bus in the Caribbean community of Cahuita.

The boy was identified by the last name of  Calero. Judicial investigators said the boy was headed for a place to play soccer with friends when the accident happened. They said as the boy was crossing the highway a shirt he was carrying on his shoulders fell off and he turned around to retrieve it.

The bus was of the  Sixaola San José company. The child lived nearby in the community of  Punta Riel, agents said.
