Bank asks brokers to help sell properties

Banco Nacional has tapped the Cámara Costarricense de Corredores de Bienes Raíces to help market the properties the bank has taken over.

Banco Nacional said that 500 members of the real estate chamber will work with its 10 employees who are designated to handle repossessed properties.

The bank also said that some of the properties were being offered at discounts up to 50 percent. The bank also is making 20-year loans on some of the properties, it said.
