Plycem, the fiber cement producer, says it will invest $5 million in its Costa Rican plant.
The firm, which has corporate headquarters here, said that it already put $2.5 million in an advanced production facility with Japanese technology. Expansion is needed because of the increasing demand, it said.
The company has 200 employees here.
The firm also will make investments in Honduras and El Salvador.
The company makes some 15 different structural components, including roof tiles and ceiling panels
