Geological work planned at traffic circles

Motorists who travel the Circunvalación will be happy to learn that geological studies will be done Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the two remaining traffic circles and the Guadalupe intersection.

Demolition is proceeding at the Paso Ancho circle, also known as the Rotunda de Guacamaya.

The geological work is in advance of design work to eliminate the circles, the Bandera and the Garantías Sociales.

The Ministerio de Obras Públicas y Trasnportes said that the work will require closing the roadway to heavy vehicles and detouring passenger cars. The work will continue through early Monday, the agency said.
