The seasonal chill is moving into the country, according to the national weather institute.
The forecast for today said that a cold front in the northern part of Central America is bringing winds to Costa Rica.
There also is a good chance of rain in the northern zone and on the Caribbean coast. The Instituto Meteorológico Nacional issued a bulletin Thursday morning warning of heavy rains and high winds, but they did not seem to materialize.
There were reports of 10 millimeters of rain in locations around the country, but that was far from the 100 millimeters, about four inches, that the weather service was predicting.
The Central Valley was far from cloudy Thursday. The day was one of bright sun presaging the dry season that is expected to blossom fully this month.
