March for children planned for Sunday

A march is planned starting at 9 a.m. Sunday up Paseo Colón to express repudiation of child beatings.

The march was triggered by the death of a 2 year old in the northern part of the country who has been beaten and tortured.

President Luis Guillermos Solís is scheduled to participate.

The march will attract many in the child protection field.  The Patronato Nacional de la Infancia, the principal child protection agency, is seeking to have more citizens make complaints when they see a possible case of aggression toward a child.
