After two years in Washington, D.C., the exhibition “Cerámica de los Ancestros: Central America’s Past Revealed,” will travel to the George Gustav Heye Center in New York City, where it will open April 18 and remain on view through next Feb. 29, said the Smithsonian Latino Center. The exhibit includes some Costa Rican ceramics.
“This incredible exhibition highlights the ancestral heritage and celebrates the cultural patrimony of Central America, said the Smithsonian. The exhibit includes more than 200 pieces of ceramics along with gold and jade. The exhibit is a collaboration between the Center and the National Museum of the American Indian.
