Two more weigh stations planned

The national road authorities are planning to build two weigh stations in Esparza on the Interamericana Norte.

Consorcio Asfaltos Orosí-AJIP Ingeniería already has won the bid, but the road agency, the Consejo Nacional de Vialidad, has to wait 10 days to see if other bidders file formal objections. The 1.7 billion colon job should be done in four months after the go-ahead is given, the agency said.

A similar station at Ochomogo has been open for two months.

The inspection at the station involves weight, dimension and paperwork.weighstation032015
