140 student guitarists will take the stage

The symphony will not play this Friday at the Teatro Nacional, but some 140 students from the Sistema Nacional de Educación Musical will be on the stage.

The event is the I Encuentro de Orquestas de Guitarras that unites guitar orchestras from Limón, San Ramón, Cartago, Heredia, Santa Ana, Pacayas and San Vito.

The concert will recognize the famous Costa Rican composer Héctor Zúñiga Rovira by playing three of  his estimated 100 compositions.

The 8 p.m. concert has a 2,000-colon admission with half off for seniors and students.
