Assailants set victim afire with gasoline

Would-be assassins dumped gasoline on a man sitting in his vehicle Wednesday night in Tibás. Then the assailants ignited the fluid.

The 59-year-old motorist, identified by the last name of  Velásquez suffered burns over about 30 percent of his body, said the Judicial Investigating Organization. A neighbor is credited with helping to put out the flames.

The man was in Hospital San Juan de Dios.
