The main headquarters of Banco Nacional is one of 8,500 buildings around the world that are sporting blue lights this month.
The bank noted that it is doing this to raise awareness about autism. It said that one out of 54 persons in the country suffers from this disorder. The bank estimated that this totals to 380,000 Costa Ricans.
Among other structures and sites illuminated in blue are the Giza Pyramid, New York’s Empire State Building and Niagara Falls.
