Friends remember murdered B&B owner

Dear A.M. Costa Rica:

Tamarindo has lost a pioneer B&B owner on Playa Langosta with the murder of Barry Lawson, owner of the popular Villa Allegre. Close friends for over 20 years, we share the grief of  his widow Suzye, son, Jerred, and his brothers.

Always the perfect host, Barry and Suzye had a huge tourist following, as their success over the years revealed.  Villa Allegre was also the premier venue for many events involving expats in their town. Generous with his time and talent, Barry also was very active in charitable events, especially the Have A Heart Golf  Tournament and anything helping to preserve Langosta green space.

Barry will be sorely missed and left this world better for having passed this way.

Joan and I were privileged to call him friend.

The expat community will be watching with distinct interest as to how the Tico legal system functions.

Vaya Con Dios, friend Barry!
