More space goes into service at Juan Santamaría airport in Alajuela

Aeris Holding Costa Rica has added $4 million of new space to the Juan Santamaría terminal.

The company said that the two-story space will be used for more commercial ventures and also provide a new access to the boarding lounges.

The new space is about 2,800 square meters.  The new area also will house the airport’s operation centers and the emergency management center, said the airport concession holder.

Aeris runs the airport under the jurisdiction of the government’s  Consejo Técnico de Aviación Civil.  The airport handles nearly 4 million passengers a year.
