Puntarenas warning system to be tested

The national emergency commission has installed a system of sirens in Puntarenas Centro, and officials plan to test them today, starting at 9 a.m.

The tests may last much of the day, said the Comisión Nacional de Prevención de Riesgos y Atención de Emergencias.

The commission said that the sirens also can relay voice alerts. This will be tested, too.
