Fire fighters to hold drawing to pick a civilian to live their life for a day

Those who cherish an unfulfilled childhood dream of being a fire fighter now have a second chance. The  Cuerpo de Bomberos is holding a raffle of sorts to mark the fire-fighting agency’s 150 years.

An individual who applies via Facebook or via email will have a change to go with two family members or friends to experience a day in the life of a fire fighter.

Entry is simple. There does not seem to be any age limit. To apply, someone has to answer the question of why they want to be a fire fighter for one day.  The submission is via the Facebook page or a Web page. The agency also will take submissions via email.

Complete regulations are on the Web page. Submissions close May 31, and the drawing will take place soon after. This is the fourth year of the contest.

The winner will spend 24 hours from June 13, a Saturday, into the following Sunday at one or more fire stations and respond to alarms.
