Tire firm plans to add 150 employees

Bridgestone Tires will put on 150 new employees over the next 18 months, company officials told President Luis Guillermo Solís Monday.

The firm will put on people trained in areas of business administration, industrial engineering, economics, statistics, international trade and related careers and graduates of accounting and finance for its shared services center, Casa Presidencial reported.

Bridgestone has has operations here for 47 years.

The trade and investment delegation headed by the president will spend the day today also in Atlanta. Then the delegation will travel to Austin, Texas, and then to Chicago, Illinois.
