Working hours cut for police officers

The security ministry has cut the work day for most police officers on the street from 12 hours a day to 10. The reduction applies to officers who are assigned to work five days a week and have two days off, said the ministry.

The reduction was negotiated by the  Asociación Nacional de Empleados Públicos y Privados.

Officers also get 90 minutes a shift for lunch and relaxation, said the ministry.
