The Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional and four Costa Rican singers will present 16 pieces tonight and tomorrow in a concert called “Boleros de Costa Rica.”
The concert is at 8 p.m. in the Teatro Nacional.
Marvin Araya is the invited director, and the singers are Ricardo Padilla, Sandra Solano, Jenny Solano and Maykel Vargas.
Bolero is a major part of Latin music. The pieces that will be presented tonight and Friday were arranged for orchestra by Costa Rican composers Walter Flores, Álvaro Esquivel and Carlos Guzmán.
