Another illegal dock turns up on the Caribbean coast

Two Fuerza Pública officers found a second illegal dock in Limón Monday. The dock was fenced off with chain link in barrio Los Cangrejos, police said.

The dock is presumed to have been used by drug smugglers.

The earlier illegal dock was in Partite, also on the Caribbean.

Antonio Álvarez Desanti said in the legislature Monday that the illegal Portete dock has been constructed during the government of Luis Guillermo Solís.

He heads the Comisión de Seguridad y Narcotráfico.

He said that the dock was put in in August 2014.

Both docks have been built on public land.
