Canadian ambassador presents credentials

Michael Gort, the new Canadian ambassador presented his credentials to President Luis Guillermo Solís Thursday.

The diplomat also will serve as non-resident ambassador for Honduras and Nicaragua over the next three years, said the embassy.

The new ambassador studied economy, political science and international relations, said the embassy here. He worked for Canada in Ghana and Guatemala as well as at the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization in Rome, Italy.
