Coast guard rescues a man in Limón

Crew members from the  Servicio Nacional de Guardacostas rescued a man who was swimming in an inlet in  Cieneguita, Limón, about 11 a.m. Wednesday.

The 30-year-old man arrived at the site of a partly sunken ship by swimming but could continue no further, witnesses said, according to crew members.

The man did not respond to the approaching coast guard crew, so he was rescued and taken for medical treatment, they said.
