A Costa Rican man is one of 60 persons in Latin America to be detained in a major sweep against child pornography.
There were other arrests in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, México and Paraguay, as well as others in Spain and the United States.
The Judicial Investigating Organization said worldwide there were 200 arrests.
Authorities say Operation Without Borders also rescued three minors, ages 9, 14 and 15, who were being used to make child pornography in México. The videos were posted on Internet sites, on social media and sent by email.
The Costa Rican suspect was not named, and the location where he was detained was not disclosed, but agents said that significant evidence was confiscated. They added that there seemed to be connections among all those detained.
