The Sala IV constitutional court has rejected an appeal by a travel agency that wanted to participate in flying Cuban migrants to El Salvador and México. No specific reason was given.
The travel firm was identified as Meridianos S.A. by the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto. José Montoya, the legal representative of the firm asked the court Monday to suspend the air flights of the Cubans that has been in effect since Feb. 4, the ministry said.
Some travel agency operators have been unhappy with the plan because they were not given the chance to participate. The ministry said that 3,000 Cubans remain in the country.
