Coast guard rescues scuba diver near Flamingo

A 65-year-old U.S. scuba diver ran into trouble Sunday morning near Islas Catalinas, which is in the Pacific off Flamingo.

The  Ministerio de Seguridad Pública said that its Servicio Nacional de Guardacostas averted a tragedy because a patrol boat was nearby keeping an eye on beach goers.

The ministry identified the woman by the last name of MacMaster.

Officials said that the exact nature of her problem was not clear, but that she was taken away in an ambulance.
