Bicyclist dies on highway in Jacó

A 36-year-old man riding a bicycle died Sunday just before 10 a.m. when he was struck by the rear wheels of a tractor trailer.

The Judicial Investigating Organization said that the man appeared to have lost control of the bike and somehow got into the traffic lane. He was identified by the last name of Vargas. He was believed to be in training for a bike race.
