They’re seeds of the drug trade!

The ample seed of a mango might be big enough to hide a crack rock, but police are likely to become suspicious of someone carrying around such a seed.

The mango, of course, has a seed the size of a deck of cards. Fuerza Pública officers said that they stopped a man in San Rafael Arriba de Desamparados Tuesday night who had such a seed in a bag. Further inspection disclosed that the hollow seed contained 16 crack rocks. Each is usually sold for about 1,000 colons, a bit less than $2.

Police said this the second time they found a person carrying crack using a mango seed. That happened once in Guápiles in 2014, they said.
