Another tropical wave is passing by

Uncharacteristic morning rain is predicted for part of the country today due to the passage of a tropical wave sometime in the pre-noon hours.

The wave is a trough of low pressure generated off the African coast that is sweeping from east to west. The low pressure generates instability.

So the Instituto Meteorológico Nacional said that some rain is predicted for the morning hours, mainly along the Caribbean coast.

Then the clouds will build up for another afternoon of downpours, thunder and lightning along the Pacific coast, in the Central Valley and in the northern zone, as well as the mountains along the Caribbean coast. The rains are expected to last into the evening.
