An Atlanta, Georgia,-based hotel chain plans a $200 million investment in its Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts brand in the Americas.
The chain is InterContinental Hotels Group, which already operates 400 hotels in the world, including the Real InterContinental Hotel & Club Tower Costa Rica in San José.
The firm will focus on increased sales and marketing efforts and continuous improvement of the guest experience, it said. In addition, InterContinental will continue to selectively invest to secure high quality hotels in key markets throughout the region that showcase the future of business travel.
The project is for three years, the firm said.
