The Ministerio de Salud said Wednesday that the Jacó region continues to lead the country in confirmed zika cases with 67.
The next largest accumulation of cases is nine in Parrita down the central Pacific coast, the ministry said.
Residents in the canton of Garabito, which includes Jacó, said they are planning another major cleanup effort at the end of this month.
Health workers were reported to be fumigating in the Playa Heradura near Jacó.
The country now has 107 home-grown zika cases, and there are 14 zika sufferers who contracted the disease in another country, said the ministry.
