Costa Rica and Nicaragua have reached a preliminary accord on health regulations for milk, the government said Thursday.
The countries had frozen imports of milk. The ruling affects initially Dos Pinos and the Mexican firm LaLa that is setting up operations in Costa Rica.
The agreement came form a meeting by representatives of the Servicio Nacional de Salud Animal of the Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería and the Instituto de Protección y Sanidad Agropecuaria of Nicaragua.
