Quakes rattle central Pacific coast

A flurry of lesser tremors followed a 4.1 magnitude earthquake Sunday night some 15 miles north of  Savegre, Quepos on the central Pacific coast. There were at least three more lesser, felt quakes over the next two hours.

The Red Sismológica Nacional estimated the magnitude at 4.2 while the Laboratorio de Engineer Seismic said 4.1. The quake appears to have been felt moderately as far south as San Isidro de El General and as far east as Turrialba, said the Laboratorio.
