U.S. coaches will teach American football basics this weekend

Coaches from the United States will conduct an American football training clinic Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Parque la Sabana.

There is also a youth clinic on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for boys and girls from 10 to 15 years, also in la Sabana, and a clinic for American football coaches, also on Saturday, at 2 p.m in San Pedro.

The training clinic is under the name of  the University of American Football. It is an academy that brings professional coaches of the United States to train and teach players and coaches in Costa Rica.

Head Coach Chris Adamson and other coaches of Viewpoint School in Los Angeles, California will teach basic football skills. There is a 5,000-colon participation fee that includes a T-shirt, gifts and a chance to win prizes, said the organizers.

Costa Rica has both male and female American football leagues.
