Quake rattled northeastern Costa Rica early Sunday

A 4.6 magnitude earthquake took place 10 minutes after midnight Sunday in northeastern Costa Rica.

The Laboratorio de Ingeniería Sísmica at the Universidad de Costa Rica said that the epicenter was 6.9 kilometers south of Llanuras del Gaspar de Sarapiqui. There were no reports of serious damage.
